Youth Conference
Teams
As a team,
you will work together to ensure that each young man and young woman is able to
complete these assignments before Youth Conference on July 19, 2013:
Temple
recommends for all that qualify and are interested in attending the Temple to
do baptisms for the dead during our Youth Conference activity on July 19th. Those that do not wish to attend the Temple
Baptisms activity will have a special activity for them during the same time
slot. When the Temple Baptisms are
complete the team will meet back together for an activity outside the temple.

Each of the team members will work together to
obtain:

Log in and password for Family Search (this
requires a member record number). Maria
Miller and Tessa Butterfield have offered to help any teams set up their
youths' accounts on familysearch.org. (They
can be reached at 353-4149 or 823-4185)
·
Three family names to take to the temple for
baptisms.
·
Each of the team members of the group will need
to:
·
Bring a set of Church and casual "active"
clothes for the Conference.
·
Become familiar with a story in their own
personal family history that they will be able to share during one of the
breakout sessions.
·
Bring their own family Fan Chart that can be
obtained on familysearch.org, with them to the conference on July 19th.
·
Youth leaders in each team will help to:
·
Bring youth together to work on the above
assignments before conference.
·
Invite all members of your team to become
involved in family history, not only for the youth conference, but before and
after.
·
Collect permission forms from the youth on your
team that will be attending the Youth Conference on July 19th.
·
As a team, work together (everyone - even those
who may not be able to attend the Youth Conference on July 19th) to accomplish
the goals and assignments given to us by our Stake President;
President Le Baron
·
Indexing
He has challenged the youth of our stake to do a combined 400,000 indexed names
by the end of the year.
·
Find
2 or 3 family names.
·
Learn,
Act and Share it with someone else.
·
Rescue
- Use this family history effort to rescue those youth in our stake who are not
fully active in the gospel.
·
Infect
the stake (adults) with this wonderful spirit of family history.
